It's always dangerous

To visit the hubbies garage. Came back this week with some bits from the kindling pile.
Would be such a shame to chop these up so I've turned them into some little plaques.
I think they are quite pretty (if not a little rough whilst i iron out a few problems) and not forgetting they are made with love so they spare extra special :)

They have already made an appearance on my Facebook resulting in a coupe, of orders from friends.

Wish me luck on my new project  (please X)

Nothing to report

this week has been a very busy time, three days at work (not that I'm complaining) two days with one of my beautiful grandsons whilst mummy and daddy work (time that I treasure) one day cleaning the house (was in dire need) and yesterday having a wonderful lunch for two dear friends birthdays (indulgent to say the least).
I have however had time to play with some paper and following a post on a friends blog I made my first Finnish star and then found an easy but very folds origami star to make.

Will post links when I get a minute as I'm rushing to go yo the post office before I go to my lovely job selling beautiful papers and pens and generally having an enjoyable time.

Hope to be back in abundance next week due to lack of babysitting duties 😢😄
Take care Janet xxx

Clean and simple

pThis week has been soooo busy, working, babysitting and just spending time doing those mundane soul destroyingly boring chores, washing, dusting, shopping, cooking. The list is endless.

There was a break in the tedium when the mass pumpkin carving session took place. Six pumpkins carved and ready to go 🎃

Last night was spent stuffing sweets, lollies, balloons and party poppers into cellophane bags and tying with ribbon ready for the trick or treaters and making a couple of plain and simple cards.

I love the images and the colouring isn't terrible but I'm certain these need a little something extra and I'm not sure what.....

The fires lit and the craft rooms calling so goodbye for now X

Somewhat excited

today to be entering my first challenge with this card. I was going for sunny day and beach huts but picked up the wrong ink and instead of a beautiful blue sky ended up with grey stormy clouds.
I just love the 'be beautiful, be yourself' which I decided on for a friend who is struggling at the moment.

The challenge is don't be blue at http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/challenge-300-dont-be-blue.html and its going to be the first time I've posted a card anywhere apart from my own page (which doesn't actually have viewers)

Wish me luck.

Hello my MOJO

It has been such a long time since I was here, when I was in a grey place in my head and heart.
Today I find myself in a much better place and determined to make the most of my new found smile.

I have been working on getting a tiny craft room sorted since moving house two and a half years ago and it has almost happened. I have time and energy to feel able to begin crafting again.
Over the last two weeks I have started to play with the toys in my little craft space and have produced  a few cards which I think I might just like, despite the simple less is more style of them.

I wonder if anybody will see them on here ?

On the up

Feeling so much brighter these last few days :o)

BBQ'd Sunday fro the family and had a lovely afternoon. On Monday helped Colin cut the lawns and generally tidy up the garden and my old 'BOSS' was passing and saw me so she called for coffe, which was a bit odd to say the least as she was my teacher when I was 12 then the Head of the school I work at untill 2 years ago.  I was brought up to have a great respect for people in authority and the whole situation seemed a bit strange to say the least.  It was lovely though to catch up.

I took Cheslea and dropped her at her optician appointment then I actually went to two shops that sell crafty stuff until Chelsea was ready to go home. She picked some red or dead glasses and they certainly stand out in a crowd.

My freind Jax visited A&E and has a broken bone which resulted in  a bright pink pot, Chelsea reversed her car into a minibus which resulted in a very dented Ka and a tearful Chelsea and Katie actually tidies up her room which resulted in a happy mum and dad.

Important meeting tomorrow so better try and get some sleep.  Sweet dreams x x x

What a hot one

its been here today - on and off !!

The sun has been out and its been lovely but the clouds kept hiding it and it would be sooo chilly.  Anyway, the most lovely BBQ was prepared BY ME :o) and eaten my everybody and a lovely family afternoon was had be us all.

Katie has been a little dream/total pain today by helping, cleaning her room, making lovely drinks of milky tea then tantruming and storming off because we hadnt fallen into her trap. So she isnt having a new contract fone this week and we are having lots of door slamming and sulking.

Im feeling calm and relatively relaxed tonight sitting here with the kitchen door open to let the cool breeze in and checking my emails and looking in on the blogs I follow.  Im learning such a lot from these blogs and have produced a little mini for my friend Carols gransons 1st birthday in 2 weeks time and cant wait to give it to her.

Bedtime soon but its still very warm so not sure how much sleep I will get . . . . . sweet dreams x
