On the up

Feeling so much brighter these last few days :o)

BBQ'd Sunday fro the family and had a lovely afternoon. On Monday helped Colin cut the lawns and generally tidy up the garden and my old 'BOSS' was passing and saw me so she called for coffe, which was a bit odd to say the least as she was my teacher when I was 12 then the Head of the school I work at untill 2 years ago.  I was brought up to have a great respect for people in authority and the whole situation seemed a bit strange to say the least.  It was lovely though to catch up.

I took Cheslea and dropped her at her optician appointment then I actually went to two shops that sell crafty stuff until Chelsea was ready to go home. She picked some red or dead glasses and they certainly stand out in a crowd.

My freind Jax visited A&E and has a broken bone which resulted in  a bright pink pot, Chelsea reversed her car into a minibus which resulted in a very dented Ka and a tearful Chelsea and Katie actually tidies up her room which resulted in a happy mum and dad.

Important meeting tomorrow so better try and get some sleep.  Sweet dreams x x x

What a hot one

its been here today - on and off !!

The sun has been out and its been lovely but the clouds kept hiding it and it would be sooo chilly.  Anyway, the most lovely BBQ was prepared BY ME :o) and eaten my everybody and a lovely family afternoon was had be us all. 

Katie has been a little dream/total pain today by helping, cleaning her room, making lovely drinks of milky tea then tantruming and storming off because we hadnt fallen into her trap. So she isnt having a new contract fone this week and we are having lots of door slamming and sulking.

Im feeling calm and relatively relaxed tonight sitting here with the kitchen door open to let the cool breeze in and checking my emails and looking in on the blogs I follow.  Im learning such a lot from these blogs and have produced a little mini for my friend Carols gransons 1st birthday in 2 weeks time and cant wait to give it to her.

Bedtime soon but its still very warm so not sure how much sleep I will get . . . . . sweet dreams x

What a funny old week !

Its been a very strange week - not the best Ive ever had, Doctors Monday, blood test Tuesday, my youngest has had a few problems at school and the rest of the week has been a bit of a blur really.

Had 2 pedicures today, one done by Claire with a parafin wax and my nails buffed then I stopped and had a second treatment, exfoliation and nails painted by one of the students.  My nails look beautiful now :o)

Went out for dinner with the hubby and friedns to a quiet local pub and had a bacon and cheese burger with homemade chips and tipsy apple crumble with custard . . . . . so full when I came home but happy.

Feeling a bit blue tonight but it will pass.  Have another mini album on the go - finished the wedding album and forgot to take pictures before it went so will have to try and remember to take pictures of this one.

Been a long strange week but the weekend has flown by, havent seen the girls as Katie is camping as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award with the Army cadets and Jade and Chelsea have been doing the usual teenage girl stuff which revolves around shops and pubs.  Its lovely that Jade and Chelsea go out together and are there for each other, even though they bicker sometimes :os

Had company last night, Cheryl and Carol called and as much as I was cheered up I did have a few tears, feeling so out of the loop now after almost 3 months at home.  Need to be better to go back to work but I also need to go back to work to be better - round and round I go in ever decreasing circles.

Anyway, must stop feeling sorry for myself, lunch to prepare for the two important men in my life.

Friday

The weekend has rushed round so fast.  Have my duvet in the machine and bedding to follow, blitzed Katies bedroom and removed all traces of JJ, her little hamster who went to the vets yesterday and sadly didnt come back home, and had a general good old whizz round making the place look half respectable for the weekend.

Its been an odd week with a visit to occ health which didnt really resolve any of my problems and now my mind is buzzing with getting back to work and exercise and diet and perhaps moving house and friends and family and any number of other things you care to mention !



The upside of this week is that Katie has a haircut yesterday and had it foiled and grew up in the space of 2 hours e.i. went in looking like a little girl and came out looking like a young woman. She is sooo beautiful. Love all my girls to bits <3

Every day is the same

without a social life or work ! !

Today has been just the same as almost every other day for the last 3 months . . . . . need to get back to normality :o(

Poor JJ isnt very well, shes Katies hamster and has sore eyes wet nose and a swollen tummy.  A visit to the vets is in order tomorrow I think, we are just hoping shes ok till the morning.

I have bought a beautiful stack called LA CREME, some of the papers are flocked and look really expensive and I for one cannot wait to get started on the wedding mini.  Mum is searching youtube for some nice ideas and Im just itching to get going. 

Crafting is my therapy, I just love it.

Yawnnnnn

Today has been a long day and Im exhausted.  Early appointment with Occ Health then a stroll round town, lunch, a visit to The range to buy some really beautiful 12 x 12 cream and white papers for a wedding mini that mum wants to do (pictures to follow later).  Went to meet my little sister Sarah at Ikea and buy her a little house warming pressie for her new flat.

Its been so nice because the children are back at school so the shops are quiet and Ive had some company as moral support but now Im totally shattered and think there might even be sleep on the agenda tonight.

Back to work Monday . . . . .

or not, as in my case.

Called in for 5 minutes today then went to the doctors. Had a long session and everything seems so clear today. Just have to wait and see what HR say tomorrow and will hopefully be back to work before you can say "sick note".

Saw Carol, Mary and Vikki tonight and had a very enjoyable craft evening.  Showed my mini albums off, started a new one and Carol made a Christmas album using envelopes.  Mary made cards and Vikki a tag card.  All had a relaxing evening and I feel calm tonight.

Not a bad day at all

I had a visit from my lovely friend Louise last night and we chatted for a couple of hours, drank tea and enjoyed each others company.  To have good friends is a true blessing x x x

Today Chelsea dared me to go to town with her, just the one shop so off we went.  Took my little sis for moral support too and off we went.  Found a tub of little paper clips in the shape of hands, feet, bones and hearts and some wage envelopes which I am going to try and use for a small envelope mini album or something similar.

Colin and Jade working tonight and Chelsea painting Halifax red so just me and my bubba playing on our laptops and watching the tele.

Today has been a good day and Ive smiled a lot, always makes me happy to be with the family :o)

Damp washing

Oh dear, up bright and early, hanging out the washing in the sun and then the minute I got back indoors the rain started. I am now sat in the middle of a chinese laundry as I try to dry off the damp washing.

As promised yesterday, this is Dylan . . . . . how cute is he?

Quite a reasonable day today (if I do say so myself) with all my chores finished and a pedicure from my kind friend Claire.  My house looks lovely and my feet feel so smooth and refreshed.

Colin has gone to work and the girls are either out or at work so Im all alone in the house tonight, giving me time to show off my new T R mini album. 

Im pleased with it but I didnt manage to set the date on the camera so these pictures all have the wrong date . . . . . not too important really though in the grand scheme of things :o)

Grey skies

Well the sun is warm but the sky has some huge dark grey clouds against the white fluffy ones and the bright blue sky, very unusual.

I had a manicure at my friend Claires work and called for lunch with my mum, the eldest two girls and Jades little friend Dylan. (who I mught add is adorable :o) ).

The obligatory telephone call from the High School and then home to contemplate teatime.

I have no idea what to feed the family but will rumage around in the freezer and find something then this evening I have a toilet roll mini album to put the finishing touches to . . . . . all pink and girly, pictures to follow.

Hoping to add some pictures of Dylan and the mini tomorrow x x x
